"Given all that has been presented and his remarkable qualities, along with the tragic circumstances surrounding his departure, in the exercise of my powers as General Director, I have ordered an extraordinary posthumous promotion to the rank of Major Subofficial in order to thank and value his work, which had the sole objective of providing security to Chile and its citizens," Araya stated.
