On Wednesday afternoon, a criminal complaint against Nano Calderón was made public following a physical altercation that allegedly occurred on Monday at a gas station in the Huechuraba commune. Entertainment journalists Cecilia Gutiérrez and Hugo Valencia explained that this conflict originated on social media after influencer Santiago Peredo used an image of luxury brand bags belonging to Raquel Argandoña's son, implying they were his. Nano became enraged and confronted him both publicly and through direct messages, asking for an address to resolve the issue in person.
He later sought out the young man and allegedly attacked him with a sharp object. Initial reports indicated that the complaint for the crimes of assault, threats, and attempted homicide was accepted by the Santiago Guarantee Court. The account of the plaintiff's lawyer In the entertainment program "Que te lo digo," they contacted the plaintiff's lawyer, Ariel Wolfenson, who provided more details about the case.
He clarified that the legal classification initially reported was incorrect; it is not attempted homicide but rather attempted murder, in addition to the charges of assault and threats. "This incident occurred on Monday, March 23, at a Shell gas station in Huechuraba, where our client, Mr. Santiago, was suddenly approached by Mr.
Calderón, who inflicted various injuries before leaving the scene amid threats," he recounted. Wolfenson emphasized that it was not coincidental that they met at the gas station, where the victim was working, after having that interaction with Nano Calderón the night before. The plaintiff's lawyer noted that there was an arrest warrant when this beating occurred, but Calderón was not found at his home.
This led to the expiration of the flagrant arrest period, so the warrant is no longer active. "The investigation continues; we are awaiting news from the Public Prosecutor's Office. I hope to be in contact with the prosecutor soon," he added.
Regarding the legal classification of attempted murder, he indicated that they base this on "the locations of the injuries," as the blows were inflicted on the head and temple. He also mentioned that the young man may have used some sort of brass knuckles based on the injuries sustained by his client. The lawyer stated that they requested the surveillance footage from the location, which shows the arrival of the vehicle registered to Hernán Calderón's company.
