The Municipality of Copiapó, through the Directorate of Community Development and its Technical Sports Unit, has launched a new version of the Community Football Schools program "Everyone Plays" 2026, a free initiative aimed at children and young people aged 7 to 14. The program aims to promote physical activity, healthy living, and teamwork through training sessions led by sports monitors in various areas of the community. Classes will take place during the week and on weekends, at times that allow participation to be compatible with school hours, and also facilitate family attendance after work hours.

In this regard, acting mayor Sergio Baudoin emphasized that, on behalf of the municipality and by mandate of Mayor Maglio Cicardini, efforts to strengthen access to sports continue. "From the municipality, we have not only promoted physical activity through our Technical Sports Unit but also from various areas such as the Office of Women, the Office for the Elderly, the Youth Office, among others, because we understand the importance of an active life for the community. For children, these opportunities are especially important as they promote values such as respect, responsibility, and teamwork, in addition to providing safe spaces for positive use of time, keeping them away from risky situations.

" The community schools will be held in the areas of Juan Pablo II, Cerro Capis, La Pradera, Los Llanos, Las Brisas, Vichuquén (Paipote), Rosario, Paipote, El Palomar, Llanos 4, Llanos 2, Palomar Adults, Valle de los Ríos, Cartavio, Olympic Pool, and Punta Negra Church. It is noteworthy that this year the number of workshops in the territories has tripled compared to last year, increasing from 6 areas to 19. No prior registration is required to participate; participants only need to attend in comfortable clothing for physical activity.

The only requirement is to be consistent and to respect other participants in the workshop.
