During the current day, earthquakes of varying intensity have been recorded in different parts of the country. However, most of the movements are imperceptible, as Chile is located at the boundary of the Nazca and South American tectonic plates, whose movements produce vibrations in the Earth's crust. For safety reasons, it is important to stay informed about the recent tremors occurring in the country, a task carried out by the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile.
The following are the earthquakes reported by Seismology: 05:58 hours Magnitude 3. 0 earthquake, occurred 15 km northwest of Ollagüe at a depth of 153 km. 01:23 hours Magnitude 3.
0 earthquake, occurred 73 km northeast of Calama at a depth of 123 km. The National Disaster Prevention and Response Service (Senapred) provided some recommendations on how to act during a significant seismic event. These are the suggestions given by Senapred.
