A spokesperson for the Central Headquarters of Jatam al Anbiya, one of the main commands of the Iranian Army, warned the United States government on Wednesday that "they will never see the previous energy and oil prices again," while emphasizing that they will not reach an agreement with them "now or ever. " "Do not call 'agreement' your defeat. Neither will your investments in the region take place, nor will you see the previous energy and oil prices again," the military spokesperson stated in a message reported by the Iranian news agency Fars, referring to reports about a possible peace plan allegedly sent by the United States to Tehran, as reported by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
In this context, the military authority emphasized that as long as Iran decides so, "nothing will be as it was before," unless "the idea of acting against the Iranian nation has been completely erased" from the "minds" of Washington. "Our first and last word from day one has been, is, and will be that no one like us will reach an agreement with someone like you. Not now, not ever," concluded the Iranian spokesperson.
These statements come amid the escalation of hostilities triggered by the offensive launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28, and in the context of Washington's announcement that it will postpone "any military attack" against Iranian power plants for a period of five days, after President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
