Katherine Núñez, the regional minister of Economy, Cristián Letelier, the minister of Education, and Felipe Massardo, the minister of Environment, were formally introduced yesterday by the presidential delegate Juan Eduardo Prieto in the presidential delegation hall of Maule. This marks the beginning of the appointment phase for the regional cabinet, which will continue in the coming days. The highest authority of José Antonio Kast's government in Maule emphasized that “we started by appointing and presenting the first three seremis… from the areas of Environment, Education, and Economy, Development, and Tourism.
I want to highlight that all three seremis are professionals with extensive experience who have worked in the various areas they will represent… but above all, they are very good people… they are integral individuals, and that is why this process has been meticulous in choosing the people who will represent the ministers here. ” He also noted that “these were the first decrees that have already been issued, so we are waiting for new decrees to be released to announce the regional cabinet as soon as possible. We hope to have most of the cabinet working in the Maule Region in the coming days.
” NEW LEADERS Katherine Núñez, the seremi of Economy, Development, and Tourism, expressed her happiness and pride in her appointment, thanking the President of the Republic, the Minister of Economy, and the presidential delegate for their trust. She stated, “We have been asked to cover a lot of ground, to travel the region, to understand the reality, and to support the growth of our economy, as well as to establish new contacts and meetings with our guilds, which are very relevant for the region. ” Felipe Massardo, who will lead the Environment sector in the region, stated, “I am very happy and excited to start this new challenge here in my beloved Maule Region, which is not my region of origin but one I have adopted through my wife.
I am very grateful to the President and also to Minister Toledo for this appointment. There are various environmental issues that will be addressed, obviously depending on the directives from the central level. ” Finally, Cristian Letelier, the regional minister of Education, emphasized his gratitude for the trust placed in him by the President, Minister María Paz Arzola, and presidential delegate Juan Eduardo Prieto.
He said, “We have great challenges in Education, and we have been asked to be on the ground, visiting the 30 municipalities of our region, and that is what we will do—be in schools, in the municipalities, with the mayors and different institutions that require our presence and that of the State.
