Tennis player Diego Ortiz was stabbed four times after being assaulted while in his vehicle in the Providencia district. The incident occurred on Wednesday night as the victim was driving on Pocuro Street and stopped at a traffic light. In that context, he was approached by a group of five individuals who got out of a vehicle, as evidenced by security cameras.

Intimidating him with firearms, the assailants forced Ortiz to exit the car. Despite not resisting, he was stabbed four times in the back. After this, the tennis player was left lying on the side of the road while the perpetrators fled with both vehicles.

However, the toll booths on the Central Highway detected that one of the cars was reported stolen and the other for fraud. This discovery triggered a police chase, until the suspects were finally apprehended in the Puente Alto district, where three of those involved were captured.
