The activity was attended by various representatives of public services established in the southern territory, where collaboration mechanisms were coordinated. The provincial presidential delegate of the Chilean Antarctic, Rodolfo Moncada Salazar, led the first plenary of public services in Puerto Williams since taking office on March 11. The main objective of this meeting, held at the Cabo de Hornos Sub-Antarctic Center, was to coordinate cooperation efforts with the different heads of services established in the province, aiming to efficiently bring public offerings to the community, focused on the strategic axes of the Government and local needs.
“The role of the delegate is to coordinate and supervise the work of public services according to regulations, but it is very important to talk with them, to know what each service is doing in the community, and to work in such a way that we can support each other. We listen to their requirements, what they are working on, their plans for this year, and see how we can collaborate, especially in field outings and contact with the population. It is key to dialogue, coordinate, and support each other to better reach the more remote areas,” said Delegate Moncada.
Along with the delegation staff, local representatives from the following public services were present at this activity: Seremi of Health, Civil Registry and Identification, Sernapesca, Conaf, SAG, DGAC, ChileAtiende, and the Junji kindergartens “Tánana” and “Ukika.
