According to the hospital, "the patient was admitted on Tuesday night to the Emergency Service, where, after an initial evaluation, she was diagnosed with severe acute pancreatitis, receiving medical attention appropriate to her health condition. " They added that "during her evolution, the patient experienced severe decompensation, which led to a cardiorespiratory arrest. Despite the resuscitation efforts by the clinical team, her death was confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday.

" In response to the family's concerns, they stated, "We have instructed a review of the clinical and administrative records of the case to clarify what happened. "My wife started to have failures... but I don't understand much," Donoso explained, and then his daughter Sandy provided more details: "They only monitored her with a pulse oximeter and threw her into the waiting room, then into a box. We switched with my sister, and I stayed with her," the young woman said.

"Then a nurse came and put a small IV with medication, and I asked if she could turn off the air conditioning because my mom was very cold, and they told me no because 'the service would run out of air,'" she added. According to the family, Myriam was diagnosed with pancreatitis but did not receive the appropriate care, leading to a cardiac arrest. Due to the lack of action from the health professionals, it was her daughter who performed resuscitation maneuvers on her mother. At that moment, I began to perform CPR.
