This Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, the town of Ralún, located on the Camino a Canutillar km 2, will host the highly anticipated Honey Festival 2026, an event aimed at highlighting local beekeeping, sustainable development, and territorial identity. The event features a diverse program open to the entire community, including technical talks, practical workshops, activities for children, and artistic performances, establishing itself as a meeting space for producers, specialists, and visitors. During both days, attendees will be able to participate in workshops on candle making, natural cosmetics, beekeeping for children, and the production of honey by-products, as well as learn more about the beekeeping world through exhibitions by experts in bee health, nutrition, and research.

On Saturday, there will also be an official inauguration along with an awards ceremony, while the day will conclude with musical performances, including a tribute to The Beatles and participation from singer Carolina Rival. Meanwhile, Sunday will end with a show by the artist Príncipe de la Cumbia. Mayor Tomás Gárate invited “all families from Puerto Varas and the region to be part of the Honey Festival in Ralún.

This is an opportunity that not only values the work of our beekeepers but also highlights the importance of bees for our ecosystem and productive development. ” He added that as a municipality, “we are committed to promoting initiatives that arise from the territories, strengthen the local economy, and rescue our identity. This festival is a demonstration of how, from areas like Ralún, we can create spaces for meeting, learning, and projecting for the future.
