This afternoon, the discovery of a body on the slope of Morro de Arica was confirmed, corresponding to a 15-year-old girl who disappeared yesterday in the northern city of the country. "In the morning hours, we were informed about the discovery of the body of a young girl, classified as a minor, and in light of this news, we went along with personnel from the Vehicle and Person Search Service (SEBV) of the Carabineros and the Labocar, also from the same institution, to carry out all necessary procedures as soon as possible to clarify the circumstances of the death," said prosecutor Rodrigo González Vega. After various investigative procedures, it was established that the victim found on the slope of Morro de Arica corresponds to a teenager who had been missing since yesterday.

According to "El Morrocotudo," the minor was last seen on Wednesday morning leaving her home heading to Liceo A-1 Octavio Palma Pérez. After not having contact with her for several hours, her family reported her missing. Finally, her death was confirmed this Thursday.

The Legal Medical Service of Arica will determine the cause of death.
