On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, the Regional Government of Ñuble reaffirmed its commitment to inclusion by presenting a balance of its main lines of social investment. During the 2025 process, the 8% Social Fund executed nearly 80 initiatives aimed at neurodiversity and disability. This effort has strengthened the social fabric, directly supporting groups of parents and caregivers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through therapies and awareness workshops.
Complementing these actions, the program "Building Support Bridges for Autism in the Ñuble Region" stands out as the most ambitious initiative in this area, which not only includes transdisciplinary clinical care for children and adolescents but also aims to transform the school system through psychosocial support and technical training. To date, updated data reflects the success of this joint management that prioritizes autonomy and full inclusion in the natural environment of the beneficiaries. Regional Governor Óscar Crisóstomo highlighted the results obtained in the first quarter.
"The strategic alliance we have as the Regional Government together with the MiTea Foundation has provided over 3,300 services to children and adolescents in the first three months of this year through a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychopedagogy, and nutrition. This effort, which includes the training of 847 teachers as part of the Building Support Bridges for Autism program in the Ñuble Region, will directly benefit more than 200 families and 12,000 educational staff. With this commitment, we want to reaffirm our regional inclusion seal, promoting the autonomy and integral development of its inhabitants," detailed the authority.
