In a new edition of DF En Infinita, José Tomás Santa María, director of DF and DF MAS, explained the historic rise in fuel prices that our country will face starting this Thursday, March 26, due to the war in the Middle East and the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. In light of this situation, Finance Minister Jorge Quiroz announced that the price of 93-octane gasoline will increase by $370 per liter, while diesel will rise by $580 per liter. He also outlined a series of measures to address the increase in fuel prices, including freezing public transportation fares and reducing the price of kerosene.
