In the context of the Travel Sale, an e-commerce event that brings together 36 brands from the tourism sector, SERNAC reiterated the main rights of consumers and the obligations of companies, especially regarding the hiring of tourism services and air transport. The agency emphasized that individuals have the right to receive truthful and timely information, to know the final cost of services, and to demand that the offered conditions be fully met. It also indicated that companies must respect what is stated in advertising, promotions, or digital platforms.

In the tourism sector, it was reminded that services must meet quality standards and not jeopardize the safety or health of users. Furthermore, in cases of non-compliance or damages arising from the provision of the service, companies must respond and compensate consumers, even when acting as intermediaries. Regarding air transport, SERNAC highlighted rights such as the right to withdraw from domestic flights, the possibility to modify or cancel tickets for medical reasons, and the transfer of tickets to another person at no cost.

Compensation is also provided in cases of overbooking, delays, cancellations, and issues with luggage. Finally, the service reminded that it has detailed information and recommendations for users on its website, aimed at guiding those planning to travel and hiring services during such events.
